The need for care is increasing, healthcare professionals are assigned more and more administrative responsibilities, and an increasing number of measuring instruments is coming onto the market. However, the one thing that is missing is more time.
LIME (Limburg Meet) was set up to improve care and make it more efficient through smarter measurements and data use. In this article, published in the special ‘Medische innovatie’ (medical innovations) insert in the Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad, Sandra Beurskens, (Professor at Maastricht University and lecturer at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences), Roger Bemelmans (Data Intelligence lecturer) and Fouad de Vries (Senior business developer) explain the role of LIME as an interdisciplinary collaboration in measurements in healthcare and what this means for the quality of care, as well as the more efficient way of data collection and which links are established with the business community and education.
